On 25 September 1908 Lennox Smit started his practice and Arthur Stanley Wheeldon joined him on 12 October 1921. Harry Rushmere joined the practice on 29 February 1928 and the practice has continued until present date at the same premises, 119 High Street, Grahamstown since then, (103 years).
Wheeldon, Rushmere & Cole has a staff compliment of approximately 30 people together with three partners and several other professional staff members. The practice celebrated its centenary on 25 September 2008 and offers a wide range of services, including Property and Conveyancing, Deceased and Insolvent Estates, Commercial Law, High Court and Magistrate Court Litigation, Labour Law and Credit Management.
